The PlayStation 5 Pro console is rumored to be an open secret among game developers.
When SONY eventually announces its PlayStation 5 Pro version, it’s unlikely to come as a major surprise. Over the past few months, numerous credible leaks, including specifications and more, have emerged.
Last week at Gamescom, SONY missed the opportunity to make such an announcement. However, it appears that the Pro version is already an open secret within the developer community.
According to a report by Wccftech, the PlayStation 5 Pro is widely known among game developers. One developer reportedly mentioned that they had received the technical specifications of the PS5 Pro.
The mid-season model is said to have a significant advantage over the current one, particularly in its ability to run games developed in Unreal Engine 5 much more efficiently.
The source of this information is believed to be a smaller studio, which suggests that SONY has already shared the PS5 Pro’s technical details with a broader range of developers.
Meanwhile, the Italian magazine Multiplayer reported that one developer decided to delay the release of their game in order to optimize it better for the PlayStation 5 Pro.
Rumors suggest that the PS5 Pro could be released later this year, with an announcement expected in September.
